On foot, you will smell, hear, see, feel, and experience the bush in a whole other manner!  In the late afternoon, go on a game drive to the braai location. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area, and because there are no fences, these animals roam freely amongst us. We have many antelope species, such as kudu, impala, steenbok, and many more, elephants and giraffes, lions, leopards, and wild dogs in the area, as well as your famous hyena, smaller species such as genets, civets, and servals, as well as mongoose. Witness the grandeur of the bush as the day transitions to night, and then have a great substantial supper served over the open fire by our amazing chef. We’ll be returning to the campground after an incredible sunset for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Makgadikgadi Pans overnight under the stars

Breakfast is served, and the rest of the morning is free for optional activities. A picturesque journey will take you to your overnight camping spot. The’moonscape,’ with its white, dry salt crust, creates a weird and wonderful camping environment. Enjoy the most breathtaking sunsets and sunrises with a 360-degree perspective! There will be jackal, blue wildebeest, zebra, ostrich, springbok, and lots of wildlife to observe, but this activity is truly about the landscape. Dinner, breakfast, and beverages are all included. There will be a bush toilet, as well as open-air canvas bucket showers. Spend the night at Makgadikgadi adventure camp/ Pelican Lodge and Camp.

Day 6-7: Mokoro and Elephant Heaven Adventure

Drive three hours to Maun and stay at the Crocodile. Accommodation in a room. After lunch, proceed to Elephant to meet and engage with the orphaned young elephants for 2 hours. The next day, go on a full-day mokoro tour and meet the locals. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Visit Moremi Game Reserve

Pickup in the morning for a full-day Moremi safari excursion. Moremi Game Reserve is located in the centre and eastern Okavango Delta and contains the Moremi Tongue and Chief’s Island, having one of the continent’s richest and most diversified ecosystems.

This allows for magnificent game viewing and bird watching, since the region is home to all of the region’s major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species, as well as over 400 species of birds, many of which are migratory and some of which are endangered. Both Black and White Rhinos have recently been reintroduced, transforming the reserve into a ‘Big Five’ attraction.

Within an area of around 3900 square kilometers, land and Delta collide to form a very scenic preserve of floodplains – either seasonally or perpetually wet, rivers, lagoons, pools, pans, grasslands, and riparian, riverine, and mophane woods. This landscape makes driving Moremi’s numerous loops and paths both enjoyable and, at times, completely inspirational. Dinner and overnight at Camp Moremi/ Camp Xakanaxa.

Day 9: Transfer to Maun and Departure.

Have breakfast at leisure and bid farewell to Moremi Game Reserve. Journey to Maun where you will be dropped off at the airport and then board your flight back home. End of Tour.
