This four-day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari is ideal for observing animals in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The safari begins with a visit to the Maasai Mara, considered as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve. Masai Mara is recognized for its unmatched Big Cat populations and the Great Migration, which is best seen during the peak season from September to October. During your four-day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Safari, you will also explore Lake Nakuru National Park, a spectacular wildlife sanctuary located in the huge Rift Valley bottom and bordered by escarpments and majestic mountains. Birding tours, hiking, wildlife watching, and boat excursions are among popular activities in the national park. Lake Nakuru national park is also famous for its large populations of Flamingos which nest along the shores of Lake Nakuru..

Day 1: Drive from Nairobi – Masai Mara

Early morning pick up from your hotel in Nairobi at 8:00am, safari drive starts at 8:30am to Masai Mara with brief stop over at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint to take in the picturesques sight of the great natural wonder. Proceed to Masai Mara via Narok Town for lunch, arrive Masai Mara around 3:30pm, check into your respective camp and after refreshment proceed to evening game drive inside the famous Masai Mara National Reserve up-to 6:30pm when the park closes.

Day 2: Masai Mara Game Drive

Full day of game drive, breakfast will be served as early as 0630am, then with picnic lunch since the whole day will be exploring the Masai Mara famous 7th wonders of the World. This game reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. The Mara’s gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift, offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km – an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra and Topi. You may occasionally sight black Rhino. In the Mara River Hippos play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains north. After exploring the park return to the camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru

Breakfast will be served after your early morning game drive in Masai Mara (optional) then you’ll head on to Lake Nakuru National Park with picnic lunch on the way arriving in the evening, if time allows you pass via Naivasha for a boat ride at Lake naivasha crescent island. Dinner and overnight at Golden palace for budget accommodation.

Day 4: Transfer to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, spend the morning in Nakuru Park where you see a lot of flamingos among other birds [about 350 species recorded. Lake Nakuru is also home to the black and the white rhinoceros, an endangered specie. Leopards, giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope. After depart to Nairobi with picnic lunch on the way. We’ll drop you off at your hotel or airport.
