5 Days Botswana Wildlife Safari
5 Days Botswana Wildlife Safari : On a game drive, a traditional canoe, or a beautiful trip by plane, you may see African animals, including the Big Five and stunning landscapes! This trip is a visual feast as well as a beautiful celebration of animals and environment! Join us for 5 amazing days located on the Boteti River’s banks, including activities in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve.
The lodge where you will be staying is located on the banks of the Boteti River, a tributary that originates in the heart of the Okavango Delta. When most other river systems are dry throughout the dry season, this vital river maintains its flow, which means animals will always visit to drink water (or to hunt those who drink water). This secluded area is free of any man-made distractions, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the grandeur of clean and undisturbed natural surroundings.
Large spanning decks nestled and stretched out amongst towering acacia trees and the distinctive Mogotse bush like the horns of a Gemsbok are typical of the lodge’s atmosphere. You may have unfettered access to the Boteti River by simply sipping a cool drink on the deck and watching the hippo, crocodiles, or numerous wildlife, or by taking a guided Mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) trip or motorboat ride along the river. Despite its vast size, the lodge is modest and private, providing for a personalized experience for every visitor and complemented by trained personnel to respond to your every need.

Day 1: Arrival and Sunset Mokoro Safari
You will be met at the Maun airport by your ranger and guide before departing on your 20-minute journey to your tented camp on the banks of the Boteti River. Following a quick check-in at the lodge, you will be briefed on your safari activities over a refreshing free drink.
Depending on your arrival time, you will have time for a short lunch or a bath in the pool while exploring the lodge’s natural surroundings before embarking on an unforgettable 2-hour twilight Mokoro safari on the Boteti River.
You will get the opportunity to see animals such as hippos and crocodiles right at the river’s side, as well as some of the most spectacular birds. During your mokoro excursion, your expert mokoro guide will point out various fascinating elements of the river and its animals before halting on one of the banks for brief refreshment while watching the gorgeous sunset.
After your mokoro ride, you will have time to refresh up before joining us around the open fire. You may appreciate the wonderful landscape while eating a great and traditionally cooked meal and sipping a glass of wine and listening to the night’s melodies.
Spend the night in a luxurious safari tent.
Day 2: Full Day Mokoro Safari-Okavango Delta
The cool morning air fills your lungs as you awaken just after daybreak. A fresh cup of coffee/tea and handmade biscuits greet you on the main deck area. Because your full-day mokoro safari in the Okavango Delta begins early in the morning, a wonderful packed breakfast will be provided.
Your Mokoro safari will begin when you go out into the Okavango Delta’s numerous reed canals. Your tour guide will already be up to speed on any interesting or unusual sightings in the region. The majority of guides are from the Bayei tribal group, who many believe were the earliest occupants of the Okavango Delta, or “people of the Delta.” From the tiniest of animals to gorgeous reed frogs and large 5 mammal species at the water’s edge, you will learn about all elements of this magnificent inland paradise. Your guide will also interpret nature in a unique way and demonstrate traditional and therapeutic applications of wild plants in the Delta.
Before embarking on a nature walk to learn more of this bountiful environment, a stop will be made on one of the numerous islands to have your packed lunch. After some dofokwntime, you’ll resume your trip by exploring more of these endless waterways and stopping at any additional islands you like. I’ll be back at 16:00pm.
After returning to the resort, you will have some time to clean up before departing on a 2-hour sunset Mokoro safari (completely optional), or you may choose to enjoy the magnificent sunset overlooking the Boteti River from our deck.
