Detailed Itinerary for 12 Days Spice of Kenya Safari.
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a representative from our firm who will brief you on your 12-day trip in Kenya before driving you to your reserve hotel in Nairobi, where you will relax before embarking on your safari the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Samburu National Game Reserve
Transfer to Samburu National Reserve: After breakfast, you will be met by a representative from our company in Kenya who will introduce himself to you and give you an overview of your 12-day Kenya experience before you depart for Samburu National Game Reserve, where you will arrive about lunchtime. Have your lunch, relax for a little, and then go on an afternoon wildlife drive in this beautiful reserve in northern Kenya to see lions, zebras, hippos, reticulated giraffes, Oryx antelopes, and many other creatures. Later, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Samburu Sopa.

Day 3: Full day in Samburu National Game Reserve
Samburu full-day excursion: Rise and shine in this gorgeous reserve in Kenya’s northwestern region. After breakfast, meet your Kenya safari driver/guide for a full day game drive in this lovely Reserve, where you will see abundant of wildlife, including the Big 5 animals with the exception of rhinos. Oryx, Zebras, Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Cheetahs, Gerenuks, Leopards, and many other animals can be found in Samburu Reserve. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight sleep after spending an entire day here.
Note: Visiting the Samburu homesteads for a cultural tour/experience is an optional activity.

Day 4: Transfer to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy
Transfer to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy: Check out of the lodge after breakfast on day 4 of your 12-day Spice of Kenya Safari and begin your journey from Samburu National Game Reserve to Ol-Pejeta Conservancy, formerly known as Sweet Waters. Ol-Pejeta is a magnificent privately owned conservancy nestled between the Mount Kenya and Mount Aberdare ranges. Cattle can even be seen grazing alongside the wildlife. In Ol-Pejeta, you can go on a game drive. You might also pay a visit to a Jane Goodall chimp sanctuary.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National park
Transfer to Lake Nakuru: Check out of the accommodation after breakfast and embark on a journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s most beautiful places, located in the Great Rift Valley region, where you can have a fascinating wildlife viewing safari in Lake Nakuru National Park, which is home to a variety of tourist attractions including flora, fauna, and water bodies. The national park of Lake Nakuru is located to the north of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. Upon arrival to the park, you will be taken on an en-route game drive to observe animals such as giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, buffalos, antelopes, and reedbucks among others.
Game Drive: After lunch, you will embark on another game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will see the flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru, a good birding destination where you can watch flocks of flamingos along the lake shoreline as well as other bird and mammal species grazing in the neighboring plains. After your evening wildlife drive, you will be driven back to your resort for dinner and sleep at Nakuru Sopa Lodge/ Lake Nakuru Flamingo Lodge/ Sentrim Elementaita Camp.
Day 6: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
Transfer to Mara: After breakfast at your lodge, you will be picked up by your guide and driven 6 hours from Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve by your guide. Masai Mara national reserve is a popular Kenya safari destination known for a diverse range of wildlife and the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Animals found and spotted in Masai Mara national reserve include lions, cheetahs, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos, wildebeests, hartebeests, and many more.
Continue on to the Masai Mara National Reserve, where you will arrive late in the afternoon for lodge check-in, lunch, and an afternoon game drive till the sun sets. Wildebeests, Zebras, Elands, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffalos, among others, can be seen grazing and roaming throughout the savannah plains. For dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge/ Lenchada Tourist Camp/Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 7: Full day excursion in Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day excursion in Mara: As you prepare for your morning game drive in the Masai Mara national reserve, breakfast will be served at your accommodation. During your game drive, you will see a variety of wildlife including predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as other wildlife such as elephants, buffalos, hartebeest, zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest, which are among the spectacular sights at this destination, especially during the wildebeest migration when large numbers of wildebeest migrate across the savanna.
Afternoon Evening Game Drive: After your morning game drive, lunch will be served at your lodge, followed by another game drive later in the evening to explore more of the Masai Mara national reserve’s wilderness, which is also known for sightings of the big five, which include elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. You will return to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night in the luxury of your lodge as described above.
Note: In Masai Mara, a hot air balloon safari is available as an add-on. Make sure to inform your guide in advance in case you wish to add this activity to your itinerary.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Transfer to Lake Naivasha: After breakfast, have a short game drive before departing Masai Mara for Lake Naivasha in the rift valley region, where you should reach in time for lunch. Check in at the resort, enjoy lunch, and then go on an afternoon boat excursion to see many species swarming the shores of Lake Naivasha in search of water. You’ll also see a variety of aquatic animals, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds.
Later in the evening, you can choose to relax or go on a guided walking safari to explore different parts of the rift valley region on foot. This is an interesting and daring activity since it allows visitors to see portions of the park that are difficult to reach on a game drive. You’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay as the sun sets.
Day 9: Green Crater Lake Hike
Crater Lake Hike: Prepare to be picked up from your hotel as early as 8:00 a.m. for your trip to Green Crater Lake through Greenhouses, which is located on the outskirts of Naivasha. A volcanic explosion resulted in the formation of Green Crater Lake. Upon arrival, you will embark on a guided walking safari to get up up and personal with a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, antelopes, and a variety of other animals. Cycling in Naivasha town, a boat tour over Lake Naivasha, and many other optional activities are available. Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day 10: Transfer to Amboseli national park
Transfer to Amboseli: Check out of the accommodation after breakfast, meet your driver, and depart for Amboseli National Park. Upon arriving at Amboseli National Park, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading into the wilderness of Amboseli National Park to view various wildlife species grazing, roaming, and hunting in the park’s savannah. During your game drive, you will enjoy photography as well as views of Mt Kilimanjaro in the national park’s backdrop, as well as the gorgeous environment and sunset.
Elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, impalas, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and lesser kudu are just a few of the wildlife species you’ll witness while exploring Amboseli National Park. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Amboseli lodge/AA Amboseli lodge.
Day 11: Full day in Amboseli national park
Full day in Amboseli: Your wildlife viewing experience in Amboseli national park will begin with breakfast at your lodge, and then you will proceed for a morning game viewing experience and photography in the national park’s savannah plains, which are home to herds of elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, antelopes, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, and other antelopes, as well as different antelopes, lions, leopards among others.
You will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night there if you did not pack a lunch box. You will have another game viewing experience later in the evening to search for wildlife species and to enjoy the sunset, after which you will be driven back to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night there.
Day 12: Transfer to Nairobi for departures
Transfer to Nairobi: After breakfast at the lodge, check out and go on a morning game drive to see wildlife in the national park’s savannah plains, as well as a variety of bird species and the lovely environment. After your morning game drive in Amboseli, you will drive 4 hours to Nairobi, where your safari guide will drop you off at your desired destination, bringing your safari to a close. End of Tour.
