Lake Nakuru and Naivasha National Park Day Tour
Overview
These two lakes in the Rift Valley offer a uniquely vibrant take on a safari in Kenya. Imagine an abundance of avian life and grazing creatures in the forests and coastal regions. An easy drive from Nairobi will transport you to a different sort of pastoral world where you will be able to sail and walk amongst wildlife like zebra, giraffe, rhino, gazelle and closer than you thought possible.
Lake Nakuru National Park, a vibrant combination of acacia woods, waterfalls, wildlife, and the lake itself, will be our first stop. Larger game is also present; in this unique refuge, there are chances to observe both black and white rhinos. Giraffes might be seen, while lions and leopards have also been reported to be seen.
A similarly picturesque sanctuary, nearby Lake Naivasha is home to grazing zebra, antelope, and impala huddled along the shore. While floating past the birds and hippos on an easy sailing safari across the lake, we’ll see these and other animals.
A further perk is the adjacent Crescent Island Sanctuary, a private reserve teeming with waterbuck, wildebeest, and other mild-mannered grazers. We’ll leave our 4 x 4 Jeep to meander amongst them on this tranquil adventure.
