Seven-Day Maasai Mara and Serengeti Safari: This seven-day safari combines safaris in Kenya and Tanzania, bringing you to the Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Park for an exciting adventure.
While on safari, you will see a variety of species, including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos, cheetahs, and gazelles, among others. These two Africa safari locations are the top wildlife places in Africa, known for hosting the Big Five and the Great Migration.
Seven Days Kenya’s Nairobi serves as the starting point for Maasai Mara and Serengeti Safari, which conclude in Tanzania’s Arusha town.

Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park.
Your safari driver guide will pick you up when you arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, give you a brief overview of what to expect on your safari, and then drive you out of Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is home to both black and white rhinos and a birdwatcher’s paradise.
After your check-in, arrive at your lodge in the park in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will go on a game drive, during which you can see a variety of antelopes, including impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, dik diks, and rhinos, among other animals. You will also head to Lake Nakuru to witness the breathtaking sights of flamingos. The lake’s vast supply of green algae is what draws these beautiful birds to it. Go back to your lodge to spend the night and dinner.

Day 2: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve.
After breakfast, you will be checkout of your lodge and embark on a journey to Masai Mara. You will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the rural area as you travel. After checking into the lodge, arrive in time for lunch, which you will enjoy. Later in the afternoon, go on a game drive to explore the boundless plains of Masai Mara. As they graze and wander the savannah plains, keep an eye out for wildlife species including wildebeests, zebras, elands, buffalos, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffalos, among many others. After dinner, you will check into your lodge for the night.
Day 3-4: Full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve
On the third and fourth day of the safari. After having breakfast at your lodge, you will prepare for a full day game drive in Masai Mara national reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife species which are very active and can be easily seen at this time of day such as wildebeests, zebras, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, lions, leopards among others.
If you choose not to pack a picnic, you can eat lunch at your lodge after the morning game drive. After lunch, you can go on another game drive to search for additional wildlife and bird species at the location.
Day 5: Drive to Serengeti national park.
On the fifth day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and take delicious breakfast. After eating breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and proceed to the Serengeti National Park, which is your next stop on the itinerary. You will go to the border between Kenya and Tanzania to clear customs. After that, you will drive to your lodge, check in, your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full day in Serengeti national park.
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the Serengeti National Park for an early game viewing experience. There, you will see a variety of wildlife species, including antelopes, impalas, elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and elands, among others.
After returning to your accommodation for lunch, you will visit the famous hippo pool in preparation for your afternoon game drive into the broad savannah plains and kopjes, where you will witness lions watching their prey. You will enjoy driving around the national park as you look for wildlife species and watch the sunset on the way to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Departure.
On your final day of safari, you will have breakfast before leaving your lodge and travelling to Arusha via a game drive through the Serengeti National Park. During the game drive, you will be able to witness a variety of wildlife species grazing across the national park’s plains, including lions, hyenas, warthogs, antelopes, wildebeests, giraffes, kudu, elephants, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, hartebeests, jackals, and numerous bird species.
Your safari will come to an end when your guide drives you to Arusha and drops you off at the airport or at a location of your choice.
