10 days Kenya Safari Experience

Overview

One of the best packages for a Kenya wildlife safari, 10 Days Best Kenya Wildlife Safari brings you to some of the best wildlife destinations in Kenya, including Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Tsavo National Park.

Situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Nakuru National Park boasts a diverse range of habitats, including adjacent escarpments and scenic ridges, and is characterized by a vast assortment of wildlife. Picnics and game drives are great activities in the Nakuru National Park.

One of the freshwater lakes, Lake Naivasha is 13 kilometres in width, five metres deep, and surrounded by shallow waters bordered by thick papyrus. One of the greatest places in the world for birdwatching is Lake Naivasha. Large creatures like hippos slumber in the shallows, but the lake waters also bring a wide variety of wildlife to the beaches, including buffaloes in marshes, giraffes roaming among the acacia, and colobus monkeys.

In Kenya and throughout Africa, the most well-known and visited safari location is Masai Mara National Reserve. The best wildlife national park in Africa, the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, borders the Masai Mara National Reserve in southwest Kenya. The acacia bush, open grasslands, and rolling hills that make up Masai Mara are home to an astounding array and diversity of animals. The renowned wildebeest migration, which brings the most breathtaking animals in the world to Kenya from Tanzania, takes place between August and October, when the reserve truly blooms.

Situated near Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania, Amboseli National Park spans an approximate area of 392 square kilometres. Situated northwest of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park boasts the most iconic and breathtaking view of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. The renowned Big 5 game (Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Rhinos, and Elephants) may be found in Amboseli National Park. With more than 100 individuals ranging in size from tiny calves to sage matriarchs, the elephants in this park are the primary draw for tourists. There are also hyenas, crocodiles, plain zebras, giraffes, wildebeests, and cheetahs to be found. Within the park’s borders reside an astounding variety of bird species. Other attractions include Amboseli Observation Hill, the park’s only high point and a volcanic hill with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area that stretches from the dry, dusty prairie to the verdant springs and swamps that are home to elephants, hippos, and buffalos. On clear days, especially at dawn and dusk, visitors can also see the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.

A stunning park with a rough wildness made up of broad savannahs, scrublands, Acacia woods, belts of riverine vegetation, and rocky slopes is Tsavo West National Park. The park provides beautiful morning and sunset views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks on clear days. Despite having the Big Five animals, Tsavo West national park can be more difficult to see wildlife than any other national park in Kenya due to its taller, deeper vegetation. The majority of Kenya’s elephants are found in Tsavo West Park. Giraffes, Impalas, Buffaloes, Burchell’s Zebra, Hartebeest, Lesser Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Grant’s gazelle, and other creatures are among those that can be spotted in Tsavo West. There are at least eight hornbill species known to exist in the park, which boasts an exceptional wildlife. The species known as the white-headed buffalo weaver stands out because to its striking bright red rump. Mzima Springs and the Shetani lava flows are two more Tsavo West attractions.

At 11,747 square kilometres, or 40% of the total size of Kenya’s national parks, Tsavo East National Park is the largest national park in the country. Compared to Tsavo West National Park, Tsavo East National Park offers superior chances for easy animal observation due to its flatter and drier terrain, which includes wide savannah grasslands, semi-acacia woodland, and scrub. Most people know Tsavo East for being the home of the red elephants. Elephants massage mud or dust onto their thick hides. Because of the rich soil containing iron oxide, which shields them from severe sun exposure and parasites, their skins maintain a brilliant red colour. The remaining members of the Big 5, Waterbucks, Kudus, Gerenuks, Zebras, and the uncommon Hunter antelope are among the other creatures that can be seen. Hippopotamuses and crocodiles can be found hiding in the waterways. About 600 different bird species may be found in the park, many of which are waterfowl that adorn the grasslands, trees, and skies above. The Yatta Plateau, Lugards Falls, and Aruba Dam are a few more sites worth seeing.
